Common questions
How do I open ShakeFree Mouse?
It lives in the tray by the clock: a round blue icon with a white pointer (grey when smoothing is off). Click the ^ arrow if you can’t see it. Double-click the icon to open the settings.
How do I turn smoothing on or off?
Use the big switch at the top of the settings, right-click the tray icon and choose Smoothing on, or press Ctrl+Shift+F9 from anywhere.
How does the free trial work?
You get 5 days with everything included, from the first time you start the app. No card is needed. When the trial ends, ShakeFree Mouse pauses and your mouse works as normal until you enter a key.
I bought a key. How do I activate it?
Click Activate on the confirmation page or in your receipt email. Or open ShakeFree Mouse, click Enter key, then Paste (a copied key fills in by itself) and Activate.
Can I use my key on another PC?
Yes, each key works on up to 3 PCs. To move it, open the settings on the old PC and choose Remove from this PC under General, then activate it on the new one.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Open the settings and click Manage plan under General, or use the link in your receipt email from Lemon Squeezy.
The pointer isn’t smoothed in some programs
Over windows that run as administrator, Windows may stop normal apps from steering the pointer, so it moves unsmoothed there. Games that read the mouse directly aren’t smoothed either.
